From a very young age, I've had an odd obsession with words and the magic they contained in them. I was never caught without a pen and paper and even still, I am constantly writing down everything that comes to mind.

 

For an extremely long time, I had been wanting to share my view of the world as well as my hobbies and pastimes (writing stories and articles for anyone who cared to look my way was simply not enough). And... this was the start of A Quaintrelle.

 

"Quaintrelle" is a Middle English word meaning, "A woman who emphasizes a life of passion, expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm and cultivation of life's pleasures." As the stereotypical nerd that I am, I found this word one day while mindlessly scrolling through Pinterest. Not only did it have a nice ring to it, but a beautiful meaning to accompany it. Coincidentally, it has come to describe every aspect of my life and the state of being I try to pursue every day. 

 

Besides writing, I love to bake, travel, play board games, and watch 80's movie re-runs. I love snowflakes, the smell of old books, musicals, and Ed Sheeran.
